2022 Lions Crab Feed Set for March 26
After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Carson City Host Lions are hosting once again the well-known Crab Feed on Saturday, March 26th. The 2022 Crab Feed features not only Dungeness crab, but also tri-tip beef, broasted chicken, and a new addition this year, shrimp cocktail. Salad, garlic bread, and ice cream round out the feast. Typically, the Lions serve about 400 people, and call upon about 100 volunteers to help put the Crab Feed on. This year, the Carson High School Band members will be helping the Lions serve the food.
This year, the Lions have added a special event during the 2022 Lions Crab Feed. On behalf of the Lions, Carson City Mayor Lori Bagwell will present several “Local Hero” awards to individuals who by their actions helped save lives in 2021.
The Lions are grateful to have established a Platinum Lion partnership with Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) to host the Crab Feed. GNCU has supported the Crab Feed for many years in the past and continues to provide support, including silent auction items such as Aces Baseball gift packages.
Carson City Host Lions are also grateful for all the community support of this function over the years. Businesses in Carson City have donated all kinds of fun and valuable raffle and silent auction items, including Carson Tahoe Healthcare, which has generously become a Silver Lion Partner.
Tickets are still available and may be purchased for $75. For a great time and a lot of wonderful food, call (775) 721-9947.
