We have candy, See’s Candy!!! Once again we are selling See’s Candies to raise funds for Vision Preservation and other programs. You can find our group selling See’s Candies at two locations in Carson City; the candy trailer by Costco and at our booth at the Carson Mall. The candy trailer is located across from the entrance to Costco and it will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our booth in the Carson City Mall will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you are a Carson City resident, but unable to make it to one of these locations to buy candy, you can contact us through our See’s Candy Webpage (click here) and we will try to make arrangements to bring the candy to you. We will sell candy until Christmas Eve or until we sell out. The See’s Candies ranging in cost from $8 to $23 per box.

Thanks to all who participated in the chalk art contest. The judges really struggled to choose the winners because all of the entries were great! The judges were asked to make their decision based on who best met the theme, but everyone did a great job meeting the theme……and the artwork was incredible to boot! After much debate winners were selected, but the judges has such a tough time decided that they diced that in addition to awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, they will also be sending additional awards out to all who participated!
NV Day Chalk Art Contest Map
The Nevada Day Chalk Art Contest map is now available. Chalk art displays may be viewed anytime between 10am and 2pm on October 31st. Viewers are encouraged to post photos on the Carson City Host Lions Facebook Page, https://www.facebook.com/CarsonCityLions. The two viewers who post the most photos of the art contest by the end of the contest at 2PM will also win prizes. Please visit the contest webpage for additional details.

Chalk Art Contest Deadline Extended
Great news, the Chalk Art Contest deadline has been extended! We were able to secure more chalk, so the deadline to sign up for the Nevada Day Chalk Art Contest has been extended to Oct. 28th at 9:00 PM. The contest is open to all Carson City residents. The entry fee is $10.00 which includes free chalk. Art entries can work on their contest entries anytime between Oct 29th after participants receive their free chalk delivery until approximately 10am Oct. 31st when viewing of contest entries by the public and judges begins. Prizes will be awarded to the 3 art entries that best meet the theme and also to 2 viewers who post the most photos of the event to our FB page. White Cane Days 2020
Thanks Carson City residents and patrons of SaveMart North for all the support during our White Cane Days campaign. We received lots of donations to help with our Vision Preservation program, which provides eye exams and eyeglasses to about 60 to 80 persons annually in Carson City who could not otherwise afford them. 2020 Kids Fishing Day is Around the Corner
The 2020 Kids FIshing Day is just around the corner! Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 9th, 9:00am to 12:30pm. Plan to be there early, the first 120 kids under 12 get a free pole and bait while supplies last.

The 2019 Kid’s Fishing Day is off to a great start and continues on until 12/30. Lots of kids are at Baily Pond enjoying their new fishing poles and free lunch from Nosh Food Truck….and the fish are biting.
